Red Mountain Middle School has been accepted as Deming Public School's first community school. A community school is a whole child, comprehensive strategy to transform schools into places where educators, local community members, families, and students work together to strengthen conditions for student learning and healthy development. As partners, they organize in and out of school resources, supports, and opportunities so that our students thrive. The New Mexico Community School model closely follows research and up-to-date data on outcomes for Community Schools. Deming Wildcat Football advances to the first round in the State 5A Football Championships!! The Wildcats will host the Belen Eagles, Friday, November 3, 2023, at 7pm. All tickets must be purchased online at GOFan.co using the link below. Tickets for adults are $12.00 and $7.00 for students(K-12), Seniors (65+) and Military. No Cash will be accepted, and no season passes will be honored. Come out and support your Wildcats. GO WILDCATS!!

Pursuant to the federal Every Student Succeeds Act and Section 22-10A-16 NMSA 1978, Deming Public Schools is hereby notifying parents of their right to request information regarding the qualifications of their child’s teachers or administrators. This request will include information on teaching degree, major, and license. If you would like to receive this information for your child, please follow the directions below. If you have any questions regarding your right to this information, you may call Human Resources at (575) 546-8841.

New Procedure on Grading for Edgenuity Courses In accordance with the New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA) guidelines, all courses—online or traditional—must receive grades each grading period, and these will be reflected on a student's transcript. To foster accountability in student progress, we've updated our documentation procedures for Edgenuity courses.

Deming Public Schools will be asking for the renewal of the Public School Capital Improvement Act Two Mill Levy during the upcoming election on November 7, 2023. Please go out and vote. The funds from the two mill levy are imperative to maintain all of our schools.

To update student information and collect necessary yearly information, Deming Public Schools utilizes its online registration system to update contact information for students, parents, and emergency contacts. This will also give parents the opportunity to sign FERPA forms, media release information and digital device information for each student in the household.

The safety of our students is of critical importance to all of us and we want to protect them from injury. Even so, accidents do happen (at school and elsewhere) and required medical care can be expensive. Please know that your school does not assume responsibility for such costs but does offer you access to several student accident insurance plans for voluntary purchase. Details can be found in the attached brochure/enrollment form.
