Dear parent and guardians,
We hope all Chaparral families enjoy the Fall break! We are announcing a safety update for student arrival and dismissal upon our return to school.
In consideration of safety and more efficient traffic flow, NEW drop-off procedures will be in effect beginning Wednesday, October 1st at Chaparral. Only PreK students and older siblings will only be allowed to be dropped off on Saddler Street in the mornings. There will be no parking allowed on the westside (southbound) side of Saddler Street and in the first three parking spaces just north of the drop-off gate. Also, please remember that when you are dropping your child off on Peach and Bryant, only allow them to cross where there is a crosswalk.
Personal vehicles will not be allowed in the drive-through bus area from 7:30 to 8:05 AM and from 2:30 to 3:30 PM. No student drop-off or pick-up will be allowed at the front of the school during these times due to bus traffic and safety concerns.
Any student arriving to school later than 8:05 AM must be signed in by an adult through the front office.
If a change to pick-up is needed, for example, students not riding the bus, the front office must receive notice before 2:45 PM. Students are not allowed to be pulled from buses once they have loaded.
Early student check-out will not be possible from 2:30 to 3:00 PM. If student(s) need to be picked up early for any reason, it must be done before 2:30 PM.
